The first step in getting your
family into a subsidized child care program is to complete the
Centralized Eligibility List Application.

Enrollment in the Subsidized Child Care Programs
When a parent is
determined eligible to receive services, a Child Care Services
Specialist will contact the parent to begin the enrollment process. The
parent is required to bring the documentation requested by the Child
Care Services Specialist to their initial orientation or
recertification at CDR. This may include, but not be limited to, the
following:
• Proof the family is a CalWORKs participant, income-eligible, homeless, or involved with Child Protective Services.
• Proof
that the parent and any adult counted in the family size is employed,
seeking employment, participating in vocational training, or
participating in an approved CalWORKs work activity.
• Proof of incapacity, including a medical or psychiatric special need.
• Proof that the child has a medical
or psychiatric special need.
